Get Started

  1. Leprechauns love to play games. Grab your favorite board game (we used the Lucky Charms Charm World board game) and bring it to life with some extra magical decorations. Here are a few ideas!

Build a Hot Air Balloon

  1. Use the hot air balloon template, on the traps website, to cut balloon shapes from six pieces of colored construction paper.
  2. When you are done cutting the balloons, fold each balloon in half. Then, with your glue stick, glue one half of a folded balloon to another half of another cut out balloon. Continue doing this until all balloon cutouts have been glued together. Then, glue the first and last balloon together to achieve the Hot Air Balloon shape.
  3. Using the template page provided, cut the circle and basket base out of construction paper. Then, put a dollop of hot glue in the center of the circle, and stick the hot air balloon on it.
  4. Use instructions from the template to fold construction paper into the basket shape and glue together.
  5. Cut two straws in half to create four short straws. Each straw should be hot glued to each inside corner of the basket base. The tops of the straws should then be glued to the bottom of the circle to create your completed hot air balloon.
  6. Decorate your basket with pipe cleaners and gems.

Create a Rainbow

  1. Cut six strips of paper, with each strip about an inch wide. All strips will be the same width but have different lengths. Start with the longest strip being red, and subsequently cut each color of the rainbow about a quarter of an inch shorter.
  2. Stack the strips on top of one another, with the longest strip on the bottom and shortest on the top. Align the edges of the strips together on one of the short ends and tape or glue together.
  3. To form the rainbow arch shape, line up the other short ends and glue or tape together. Run a strip of tape, sticky side up, from one base to the other to help hold the arch in place.
  4. Use cotton balls to surround the base of the rainbow, creating cloud-like structures.

Build Tree Houses

  1. To create the bases of the houses, paint toilet paper rolls a variety of colors.
  2. Cut construction paper into window and door shapes, and make them magical by coloring and adding gems to them for door handles. Glue these to the tubes once the tubes have dried.
  3. Cut a rectangle of paper roughly 2.5”x 1.5” and fold it in half. Set it on top of the tubes to create rooftops.
